Easter Jackpot of $33 million in Nevada

Well- someone had a rip roaring Easter. An American woman from Nevada scooped a $33 million jackpot at a casino in Nevada over the Easter weekend. She was playing the Megabucks slot- this was the 2nd biggest Megabucks jackpot ever at a Nevada casino.

The slot is managed by International Game Technology. 38-year-old Rachael Renee Romanick hit the mega-jackpot on Easter Sunday night at Terrible’s Rail City in Sparks.

Rachael had been playing the slot machine for about 10 minutes when she hit the top prize.

The biggest jackpot ever won in Nevada was almost $40 million which was won at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in March 2003. The Excalibur Casino boasts 129,000 square feet of casino floor space with slots, poker and table games. The previous lucky player also won the $40 million dollars on the Megabucks linked slot machine. Games available range from 1c to $100.
